Author of The River's Song, Fistful of Colours and The Man Who Wore His Wife’s Sarong
Suchen Christine Lim’s latest novel The River’s Song was one of “100 Best Books of 2015” – Kirkus Reviews (USA). Fistful of Colours winner of the inaugural Singapore Literature Prize was listed as one of 10 classic Singapore novels by The Sunday Times. In 2012 she received the S.E. Asia Write Award for her body of work. Her latest publication is The Man Who Wore His Wife’s Sarong.
Other works include 3 novels, 2 collections of short stories, 15 children’s books, a play and a non-fiction work. Her short stories have been anthologised and translated into other languages. Awarded a Fulbright grant, she is an International Writing Fellow of the University of Iowa, and was the university’s International Writer in Residence in 2000. She was a Fellow in Creative Writing in Nanyang Technological University, a judge for the Commonwealth Literature Prize (Asia-Pacific Region) and had sat on the judging panel for the Southeast Asia Write Award.
