Adrian Tan’s novels, The Teenage Textbook (1988) and The Teenage Workbook (1989) topped The Sunday Times fiction bestseller lists for two years. The books recount the experiences of young people in a uniquely Singaporean institution, the junior college in 1980’s Singapore. The Teenage Textbook was adapted into a hit film in 1998, and a play by Haresh Sharma for The Necessary Stage. He is also co-creator of the award-winning television series The Pupil, and wrote the story for the Jack Neo movie Homecoming (2011).
Adrian practices as a litigator in the law firm Morgan Lewis Stamford LLC.
